KMTC's own CEO warned that too many students are choosing Nursing. Applications just closed. Did anyone listen?"
If you applied for a course or campus transfer at KMTC and it's been weeks with zero communication — this is for you. And it's urgent, because the transfer window closes tomorrow, August 14.
Back in June, KMTC directly addressed growing complaints from students who had waited months without any update on their transfer requests.
"Please note that a course change is subject to the availability of vacancies in the preferred programme. If your request has not been successful, it means that no vacancy is currently available in the course you selected," KMTC stated.
In plain terms — no response means your request was not successful. Not delayed. Not pending. Unsuccessful, due to no available slots in your preferred course or campus.
KMTC clarified that both course and campus transfers depend entirely on vacancy availability — meaning transfer requests are never automatically approved, regardless of how qualified you are.
Why this complaint came up in the first place: The clarification came after a student who had waited nearly three months without updates questioned why applicants weren't informed of the outcome of their requests — successful or not. KMTC's answer was direct: silence itself is the answer.
If you're applying for the current transfer window closing tomorrow — avoid the same frustration:
KUCCPS has separately warned that inter-institutional transfers depend entirely on available space in the receiving institution — meaning even fully qualified applicants can miss out if all slots are already filled. Waiting until the last minute is one of the most common mistakes that ruins otherwise valid applications.
To apply: log in to the KMTC Admissions Portal with your credentials, navigate to the dropdown menu, choose Course or Campus Transfer, fill in the required details, submit, and await SMS notification on your status.
If you already applied and heard nothing — stop waiting for a message that isn't coming. Move forward with your current placement, or check if a different course or campus still shows availability before tomorrow's deadline.
